#The Water of Lethe#
This group of photo was taken long ago but was edited again and then published. When I was having a vacation nearby a reservoir, I took these photos after experiencing a sudden furious rain in a boat sailing in the reservoir. As the boat escaped from the storm and reached the shoreside, I raised my camera and shot several. The storm had been occupying the horizon which I had just traveled through with thick and darkened clouds, forming a line approaching the horizon but never touched. Even though the weather condition was seen horrible, the people swimming in the reservoir or strolling around the shore did not seem to be disappointed and had their whales of time. After a few months I took the photos, I checked them once again and found them interesting. These ordinary photos were given dramatic meanings and had excellent visual impact after re-editing. The water with its black in Colour presents a strong feeling of desolation and desperation while the clouds give the feeling of inhibition, and together they combined to make the image of "water of Lethe". However the people appeared in the photos playing around with water or strolling relaxingly are innocent, which is contrastive and dramatic. Have they already forgotten all their miseries and reminiscences thoroughly after seeing the Lethe? The questions and thoughts thous emerged.
